Meetings
The KOS meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, at the Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, 201 South Peterson Avenue, Louisville, KY.

We begin our meetings with a social hour at 6:30 pm (which gives members a chance to chat). At 7:30 pm we have a short business meeting, followed by a speaker presenting our evening’s program.
We have a “Show & Tell” table at each meeting where members can bring their orchid successes to compete in an informal judging competition. Points are awarded to winning members, to be added up at the end of the year. The three categories are Advanced Grower, Amateur Grower and Miniature Plant.
We usually have a plant raffle at each meeting with tickets sold at $1/each. This is a fundraising effort for us. KOS has pre-purchased some plants for the raffle. We also get some great donations from our members who have extras or a good plant they are ready to let go. We have had some wonderful plants in our raffles this year.
We offer some light refreshments at our meetings through the generosity of our members.
