January Guide

Winter rest is essential for many orchids. Keep watering light, avoid over-fertilizing, and ensure adequate humidity to prevent dryness.

February Guide

As days get longer, some orchids begin new growth. Gradually increase watering and check for early signs of spring spikes.

March Guide

Spring signals active growth! Repot if needed, increase feeding, and ensure orchids get plenty of bright, indirect light.

April Guide

Warmer temperatures mean more watering. Watch for pests as new growth emerges and provide good air circulation.

May Guide

Many orchids enter their peak growing season. Maintain consistent care, and if temperatures allow, consider moving them outdoors for fresh air.

June Guide

Summer heat can stress orchids. Provide shade from intense sun, increase humidity, and water in the morning to prevent heat stress.

July Guide

Keep up with summer care by ensuring good airflow, proper watering, and shading orchids from excessive heat. Fertilize regularly.

August Guide

Late summer is ideal for monitoring root health. Continue watering and fertilizing while watching for signs of upcoming spikes.

September Guide

Some orchids begin setting buds. Reduce feeding slightly, maintain stable temperatures, and avoid disturbing developing spikes.

October Guide

Cooler nights can trigger blooming in certain orchids. Adjust watering as growth slows and provide adequate light for strong flowers.

November Guide

As winter approaches, reduce watering and feeding. Protect orchids from cold drafts and keep humidity levels steady.

December Guide

Many orchids bloom this time of year! Enjoy their flowers while maintaining consistent care to support their health.
