Since the Covid-19 pandemic has eliminated our April monthly meeting, members have generously shared photos of their blooming orchids so we could present a “virtual” Show and Tell. Enjoy!

The numerals at the end of each entry represent the number of points each plant was awarded, based upon the category in which the grower has previously placed themselves (Beginner, Intermediate, Established). [blue (4), red (3), white (2), participation (1)]
There was a tie for the first place standard (Fanelli) plant: Deanna’s C. Skinneri and Larry’s cymbidium unknown.
The miniature (Topmiller) first place went to Heidi’s Den Mini Snowflake and second to Anne-Marie’s Bulbo. bicolor.
Many thanks to our judge, Pam, who made a valiant effort to continue to award points under suboptimal circumstances. This certainly does not substitute for our “in person” Show and tell, but hopefully everyone enjoys seeing what is blooming in others’ collections.
Continue to send me your photos of blooming plants and I will enter them in next month’s virtual show and tell. If you can send a close-up of a flower and a picture of the entire plant, it would be helpful to our judge.
