Kentucky Orchid Society Orchid Show and Sale 2022

On October 2 and 3, KOS held an Orchid Show and sale. Though our last two efforts at hosting such an event did not come to fruition because of the pandemic, we were successful in producing a show that was bigger and better than ever before!

Take a look at some of the highlights of the show.

Here are some of the displays:

KOS display received a red ribbon.

Greater Cincinnatti Orchid Society entry-blue ribbon and AOS Show Trophy for best display

Miami Valley Orchid Society
Central Indiana Orchid Society
Memphis Orchid Society
The Hartmann Display–KOS was honored with the donation of a wide variety of orchid memorabilia by the estate of Gwen Hartmann and many of these were purchased by visitors to the show, with profits going to the orchid society.
Display by KOS member and Show co-chair Stephen Benjamin. All except one of these plants are siblings, from a cross made by Stephen. One of the plants was awarded best in Class.
Vendor’s Sue’s Pottery display; pottery created by a KOS member, Sue Phillips.

Display by Windy Hills Gardens, a vendor from St. Louis
Display by Ecuagenera Orchids, a vendor from Ecuador
Display by Rainbeau Orchids, a vendor from Atlanta
Display by Natt’s Orchids, a vendor from Chicago

We are very proud of the show this year and hope it was enjoyed by visitors, members, and vendors! Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a success.
